Studio Lighting Unlocked

Last month I took up a studio lighting course at SVA. The powers of light it’s opening up for me is exceeding expectations and planting seeds of curiosity. I’ve known for a while that being a natural light photographer was not the end goal for me so here we finally are expanding and growing diving deep into what studio lighting has to offer. The teacher, seasoned photographer Joe Sinnot is rough around the edges in terms of teaching style but he knows his stuff. Above is just a taste of what we’ve been exploring and what I hope to continue expanding upon as a visual artist. I’m loving the opportunity we have to shoot different models and working in groups with other photographers. The growth is endless when you get to know your peers and expand upon things you could barely touch upon on your own.
